Understand radio layouts, stick modes, calibration and controller setup before building habits.

Before arming, verify every axis in a live input screen. Mode 1 and Mode 2 change which hand controls pitch and throttle; they do not change what the aircraft does. A familiar layout, correct endpoints and stable stick centers are more valuable than copying someone else's sensitivity settings.
